Mrs. Leanne Nixon Vander Linden

I began teaching at Menno Simons in September of 2001. I was born and raised in a small rural community in Nova Scotia. I spent most of my childhood riding my bike and drawing pictures. I went to university from 1999-2001 and earned my Bachelor of Kinesiology and Bachelor of Education degrees. I moved to Alberta in 2001 and started teaching grade 2 and 3. I currently teach grade 1 and a bit of kindergarten. I love this little school and the community. I married a farmer in 2010 and had our first child, Greyson, in 2012. My life is now a lot busier, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
